DYAD

Dyad

Who is this vociferous presence

that whispers dire haunts towards my ears?

Cries my anxieties,

Lists my frailties,

Screams my fears.

And yet

What of this other subtle, convincing voice

That speaks deeper into my soul

Endorses my happiness

Joins in my bliss

Illuminates my joy

Oddly,

Conflict resolves

When reflecting in the mirrors of time,

There stands only one

And I see no other

but myself
